CHANGE

The magnitude of challenges in our world can feel overwhelming. But change happens all the time if people care and apply the right pressure in the right places.

MAKING CHANGE

The magnitude of challenges in our world can be overwhelming. Issues like the US-Mexico border wall can appear so entrenched that it seems impossible to make change. But change happens all the time if people care and apply the right pressure in the right places.

Consider the Tea Party, a fringe movement that had no political power in the 1990s, but now controls the White House and the Senate and has growing power over the Supreme Court. Tea Party proponents organized a strong grassroots movement that applied pressure on members of Congress, orchestrated a media effort that motivated people nationwide, and funded a campaign to ignite action by like-minded individuals. Tens of thousands of people participated, each playing their own roles as advocates, educators and supporters; each being an agent of change for the world they believe in.

We can do the same for the borderlands and on any number of other related issues.

Are you an Advocate, Educator or Supporter? Maybe you can be all three. The ADVOCATE, EDUCATE, and SUPPORT links above lead you to pages that offer ideas on how to ACT for the future of borderlands wildlife, people and lands. They contain simple, but meaningful actions that will make a difference.
